The Governor of Niger State, Gov. Abubakar Sani Bello has extended the lockdown of the state for another two weeks, this he did to “curb the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic”.

The Niger state government has also placed total ban on the operation of Okada Riders through out the period.

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello disclosed this at a media perley shortly after the COVID-19 Taskforce meeting on Tuesday in Minna.
The governor noted that all majors earlier put in place shall remain for the next two weeks period before further action from the government

Niger state records one of the lowest case rate in Nigeria with a total of nine cases, the state has been on lockdown since the month of April.
