SI Magazine Ltd has inaugurated five persons into the maiden edition of her Search Inwards Social Ambassadors (SISA) Programme.
The event which took place at the Bee Better Centre, Gudu District, Abuja, saw notable personalities in attendance.
In her welcoming speech, the Editor-in-Chief and founder of SI Magazine Ltd, Hajiya Khadijah Abdullahi-Iya, said her love for humanity and strong faith in the Nigerian youth was the motivating factor behind the programme. She said, “SI Magazine is devoted to humanitarian endeavours. That is the main essence of our being.”
One of the facilitators and mentor, Mr Kamri Apollo charged the participants to be good ambassadors of their communities in every right. He reiterated the need for a change of mindset in their actions and disposition.
Another facilitator, Adaora Onyechere, encouraged the participants to take full advantage of the programme to make their impact count in their communities no matter how little it may seem. She said as youths, putting the country first in all of their endeavours is the right step towards a greater Nigeria.
Highlight of the event was the introduction of the ambassadors who are: Sanmi Adeyeye, Amal Ahman, Grace Dickson, Yahaya Muhammed and Seriki Ozovehe, to the guests.
SISA is an initiative powered by SI Magazine and Beyond Mentors Community Care Initiative to train younger generation on how to care for their community; thus imbibing the culture of volunteerism in them.
